There are vane type motors with vanes having linear reciprocation motions during its rotation that is considering as a weakest place of hydraulic motor design. The gear hydraulic motor has low ratio of torque - weight that cannot be useful in some areas of engineering. New rotor type hydraulic motor is capable of converting pressurized fluid energy directly into rotary motion. Theoretical calculated results shows that the new design outperformed (the ratio torque/weight) conventional hydraulic motors above 30 times. This was possible by use the principle of overrunning roller clutch and its incorporation into the motor design. |
