Teknik ini juga berjaya menyelesaikan masalah sisa buangan berjadual dari industri gas asitilena yang boleh digunakan dalam penghasilan kertas. Sisa buangan gas karbon dioksida juga boleh dimanfaatkan bagi menghasilkan produk kertas. Secra tidak langsung penyelidikan ini boleh dikategorikan sebgai teknolog hijau.

Kelebihan plaks dari segi fizikal berbanding plastik sampah sedia ada kerana ia merupakan degradable (boleh mereput/mengurai dalam masa 2 tahun). Di samping itu, ia mempunyai 3 kod warna berbeza mengikut piawaian kategori tong sampah kitar semula iaitu biru, coklat dan oren. Kelebihan yang paling istimewa merupakan tangkai plastik yang diubahsuai memudahkan untuk proses mengikat. Selain itu, terdapat lukisan grafik pada plastik untuk memudahkan pengguna mengasingkan sampah serta mempunyai had isipadu tidak melebihi 20 liter. Penyeragaman pengunaan plaks di seluruh pentadbiran shah alam bermula daripada 5 mpp zon dan fasa 2 menambah meluaskan beberapa mpp zon lagi penggunaan plaks dalam menjayakan program pengasingan sampah domestik ke seluruh shah alam khasnya dan seluruh pbt di selangor amnya.
