A Board And Its Production Method

"The primary object of the present invention is to invent a board which is high strength and low cost. The board shall compose of agricultural wastes which need not be ground into particles and hence eliminate the use of a grinder. Even though without grinding the waste materials, the board can still have high strength due to original material particle size at its maximum and this reduces the use of more expensive material such as binder and hardener.
Another object of the present invention is to invent a board produced from various organic agricultural wastes which are abundant, biodegradable, reusable and inexpensive. As a result, the amount of wastes disposal into the environment can be reduced.
At least one of the preceding objects is met, in whole or in part, by the present invention, in which the embodiment of the present invention describes a method of producing board comprising mixing agricultural wastes of rice husks, rice straws, bagasses, banana leaves and the like with a binder and a hardener and compressing said mixture at a temperature ranging from 100??C to 200??C under pressure of 120 kg/cm2 to 200 kg/cm2 in a time period of 10 minutes to 40 minutes. "

Concrete Sludge Brick

Concrete Sludge Brick is made of concrete sludge and small amount of cement. The use of concrete sludge can reduce usage of sand in bricks production and at the same time reduce the production cost. This also can help in protecting the environment in the long run by reducing sand mining activities.
Concrete Sludge Brick produce a comparable compressive strength to normal sand brick but with cheaper production cost. The production cost is approximately 30% lower compared to the normal sand brick. In term of density, Concrete Sludge Brick exhibit lower density compared to normal sand brick thus offer better handling on the site

DOMIGREASE : GREASE FROM DOLOMITE

"Dolomite (CaMg(CO3)2) is a pearly, translucent mineral, commonly colorless or white in color. It was named after the French mineralogist and geologist, de Dolomieu D. (1750-1801). Like the others, dolomite can be traced by its physical and chemical.
Dolomite is composed of 52.06% oxygen, 13.03% carbon, 13.18% magnesium, and 21.73% calcium. Iron and manganese carbonates, barium and lead are sometimes present as impurities. In cement industries, dolomite is an industrial waste.
Only a small portion of this industrial waste (dolomite) is used for general purpose such as to cover muddy land. A big fraction of the remaining waste however is not used and creating serious air pollution problems to local community. Hence, the used of the waste to produce greases will be able to overcome numerous problems, including the air pollution problems. Besides that, as a raw material, it is abundant and inexpensive.
The use of dolomite in production of grease can reduce the need for disposal. Besides that, as a raw material, dolomite is abundant and inexpensive. Therefore, it can reduce the grease production cost. Besides that, the grease is expected highly resistant to water and can be use for corrosion protection purpose. "

Silica Nano-Tube Immobilized With Cyanex 272 For Environmental Application

In 1991, Iijima first reported the discovery of carbon nano tubes . Since then, some other nanotubes have been developed in succession because of their potential applications for electronic devices, catalysis, separation and optical devices, etc..
Silica nano-tube is prepared using template method followed by immobilized Cyanex 272. Metals recovery from printed circuit is studied. Due to having high surface and nano hollow structured, high efficiency towards metals recovery is achieved and as well as higher amount of Cyanex 272 was found to be trapped.
The immobilized nano tube can be used in diverse application such as selective separation of metals, recovery of high purity metal from its lean sources, removal of toxic metals from industrial waste, preconcentration of metals to improve detection limits and so on. Due to the providing a large surface area, this nano tube shows the high performances

Sugarsorb: Physical Treated Sugarcane Bagasse As Adsorbents For Treatment Of DYes Poluted Wastewater

Pigments and dYes represent one of the problematic groups to treat from several industrial wastewaters. They are mainly from dye manufacturing, textile finishing, food colouring, cosmetic, papers, batik and carpet industries. The textile industries, including batik industry in Malaysia is also contributing significantly to the problem.
The use of low cost, recycled waste and ecofriendly adsorbents has been investigated as an alternative method for replacement of currently expensive method for removing dYes from wastewater. In this study, sugarcane bagasse - an agro industry waste were used to remove the dYes from the aqueous solution in a batch reactor. The sulphuric acid treated sugarcane bagasse (SupaSORB) were used to adsorb dYes at a various parameters, namely contact time, adsorbent dosage, initial dYes concentration and pH. The optimum combination all these parameters were determined by using Design of Expert (DoE) software.
As sugarcane bagasse is easily available in the countryside, it has potential to be used for the small scale industries which produced dYes as their effluent, after it was being pretreated with formaldehyde and sulphuric acid.
The data maybe useful for designing and fabrication of an economically cheap treatment process using batch or stirred tank flow reactors for the removal of methyl red from diluted industrial effluent.
