ThiOLED: A Petit Waste-Reducing New Materials for Lighting Technology Interest was successfully prepared, synthesized and characterized via spectroscopy and analytical technique which involve contribution of molecular modelling by Gaussian 09 in order to correlate between layer OLED. The electrochemical deposition (ECD) technique have been applied to prepare organic thin films due to posse least expensive cost, low temperature method, easily controllable (change of deposition time and potential) and non-pollutant one. Surprisingly, this type of system gave promising result to be applied as conductive layer in single layer OLED. In a nutshell, with the outstanding approach and performance, ThiOLED will be no doubt can attract any crowd at different level in the community to further evaluate this type of molecular framework to be potentially used in the area of microelectronic devices.

RAINS: A Web Based GIS Spatial Data Mapping System For Rainforest Tree Distribution.

RAINs is focusing on a comprehensive package for effective management and development of forest resources. It also includes the management of protected areas particularly for the biodiversity conservation, the development of agro forestry and the development of non-wood industries. RAINs software consists of components of a bigger integrated system, and is developed in modular form based on 3-tier architecture. It could easily be split into various levels of clients/users: stand alone, network of small and big system. A lot of module was developed using web based and GIS technologies by using spatial data approach. The main purpose of the software is to process and analyze data of various management levels with minimum needs for customization. The software uses the open source software PHP and MYSQL database and web-based GIS mapping technologies middleware (Autodesk MapGuide) for displaying and mapping the distribution of trees location.

Electric Canting

Electrical Canting is a new device for a batik artist to draw patterns on a silk faster. It is an efficient way to sustain the traditional hand-drawn batik. Electric Canting applies a simple technology of heat to melt the wax using a heating element. The wax stick is inserted into the back of the Electric Canting and it will heat up the wax to a melting point. Molten, wax then drips out of the nozzle enabling the artists to draw patterns on the silk. The Electric Canting operates on electricity from a standard three-pronged wall outlet.
