FILTERING APPARATUS

THIS PROJECT PRESENTS BANANA TRUNK FIBER AS THE MAIN FILTERING LAYER IN A WASTE WATER FILTER SYSTEM. THE MAIN PURPOSE OF USING BANANA TRUNK FIBER IS BECAUSE IT WAS PROVED FROM PAST RESEARCH, THAT BANANA TRUNK FIBER HAS THE CAPABILITY TO ABSORB 70% TO 80% OIL AND GREASE IN SAMPLED WASTE WATER DEPENDING ON THE NATURE OF THE PROCESSED BANANA TRUNK FIBER THAT WAS USED AS A FILTER. KITCHEN SINK WASTE WATER OFTEN CREATE PROBLEMS SUCH AS CLOGGING IN THE SEWAGE SYSTEM, WATER POLLUTION AND ALSO INCREASE THE WORKLOAD OF A SEWAGE PLANT. THIS FILTER SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO BE APPLIED IN DOMESTIC OR RESIDENTIAL KITCHEN SINK. THE APPLICATION OF THIS FILTERING SYSTEM NOT ONLY FILTERS OUT OIL AND GREASE BUT WILL ALSO REDUCE TURBIDITY, PH AND SUSPENDED SOLIDS OF THE WASTEWATER DISCHARGED INTO THE SEWAGE SYSTEM. IN CONCLUSION, THE USAGE OF BANANA TRUNK FIBER AS A FILTER HAS A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT IN REDUCING CLOGGING AND WORKLOAD OF SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANTS DUE TO HIGHER-LOAD GREY WATER FROM KITCHEN SINK.

Cureently the cost to acquire CNG from abroad is high due to import costs. The high demand for current and future CNG cylinder for NGV vehicle is high as it is an alternative replacement for oil base energy vehicle. From Waste to Wealth : Utilisation of Waste Plastic as an EcoFriendly Binder System for Metal Moulding (MIM) Industry

The key to the successful application of metal injection moulding (MIM) process in production practice is the selection of a binder system together with a suitable debinding procedure. There are various binder-system that have been developed for use MIM industries which include the use of major fraction of petroleum-based binder and waxes.

However, there are problems associated in the use of the said binder-systems. Work values congruency system is a web-based that can identify the work values needed in a workplace in their rank of importance. The work values of individual candidates or apprentices can then be assessed and compared with the "ought to" have work values to see the extent of congruency (match or mismatch). Web Smart Farmer

Web Smart Farmer is a Web Based System to help the farmer to view their field soil variability maps and keep the record of their farming activities through a web portal and take remedial actions using variable rate treatment of their management zones with the help of "rice check" available on-line. The system also allows farmers to keep the record of their farming activities such as amount and cost of fertilizer and chemical uses. The system finally will determine the profit of their farming based on Return of Investment (ROI). This will enhance the farmers' understanding on their cost of productions and real profit being gained by them for each particular season. The target group for these systems is for the farmers and farm managers. The farm manager can view which lot produce highest yield with the lower cost of expenses. This will help the managers to determine which lot with the low produced yield and overcome the problems. This system has the potential to be used in the granary area and also by the government agencies involved in the national rice industry like MADA, KADA and others. Because of the use of open-source technologies, the cost for development of this system is reduced.
