There are some alternative to flexible PVC such as thermoplastic elastromers, ethylene vinyl acetate and metallocene catalyzed polyolefins. Nevertheless, these PVC alternaties also lead to undesireable enviromentak issues. The solution is vegetable oil is a good candidate to substitute the petroleum-based feedback based on their superior sustainabily, availabilty and renewabilty. THERMOILSET, a flexible bio-epxy, made from epoxidized vegetable oils is set to replace plastized PVC. As mentioned before, the benefits are good flexibility, ease of processabilty, versatility, enviromental friendly, renewable resources, cost effectiveness and greener materials.
