Textile manufacturing process requires large amount of water and variety of chemicals thus became a major sources of dYes discharged into water bodies which are mutagenic and carcinogenic to humans, non-biodegradable in native and not susceptible to effective degradation by traditional chemical or biological processes. Since costly activated carbon adsorption is one of the most viable method for dye removal, COPA-Bead is produce from food and agricultural wastes as a low cow cost but comparable adsorbent.
