Novel Halmallow is developed by modifying the conventional marshmallow through the substitution of sugar with palm sugar. The use of palm sugar adds a unique and distinctive sweetness to Halmallow. The nutritional value of Halmallow also increases by adding of ginger that gives pungent a taste to this product. Since halal gelatine was used in the making of Halmallow, this product can cater for Muslim consumers. Halmallow is also a tidbit that is suitable for health conscious people and children.
