Chronology

The Malaysian Science and Technology Information Centre (MASTIC) was established in 1992 under the "Industrial Technology Development: A National Plan of Action". MASTIC is a division under the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change (MESTECC).

To be the national primary reference centre for strategic Science, Technology & Innovation (STI) information.

To provide reliable, up-to-date and comprehensive STI information through efficient information management system to facilitate the National STI Policies.

Provides repository for strategic STI information to facilitate S&T communities' needs through good knowledge management practice.

Provides platform for sharing of STI information among government and private sectors and inputs to the development of National STI policy.
